Solar Unvented Twin Coil Hot Water Cylinders

Santon Premier Plus Solar Unvented Cylinders

Santon Premier Plus Solar has been designed specifically for solar applications. It offers all of the benefits of the standard PremierPlus unvented cylinder to give powerful mains pressure showering and fast filling baths, with the added benefit of lower running costs - as much as 60% less than traditional systems*

Designed for use with a wide range of solar systems now available in the UK, PremierPlus Solar is an environmentally friendly and efficient way of providing domestic hot water. Unlike some other ‘twin coil’ cylinders (which simply use heating coils designed for traditional boiler heated cylinders), PremierPlus Solar cylinders have a purpose designed solar heating coil at the base of the cylinder, which ensures maximum heat input and efficiency from the solar energy.

Available in 190, 210, 250 and 300 litre capacities, with a choice of direct (Electric auxiliary heat input) or indirect (Gas, Oil or Electric boiler auxiliary heat input) versions.

* savings vary depending on type of solar system used, location and usage patterns

Heatrae Sadia Megatech Solar Unvented Cylinders

Heatrae Sadia now offers a range of domestic hot water cylinders based on Megaflo HE (unvented) which have been specifically designed for Solar applications. Designed for use with a wide range of solar systems now available in the UK, NEW Megatech Solar is an environmentally friendly and efficient way of providing domestic hot water.

Climate change is now an undeniable fact which has increased the focus on alternative energy sources.

Solar energy direct from the sun is such a source of energy which, when harnessed, can be converted into heat to generate hot water for the home whilst at that same time helping to reduce carbon emissions and reduce global warming.

Oso Solarcyl Twin Coil Unvented Cylinders

The Oso Solarcyl is a "ClearSkies" approved twin coil stainless steel unvented hot water cylinder. The cylinder is designed to be used with solar panels but is also ideal for use in properties with two different controllable boilers.

The Oso Solarcyl incorporates two separate heating coils in the base and middle of the cylinder. The principle source of heat should be connected to the lower coil and the back-up heat source to the upper coil. The cylinder is fitted with bosses to accommodate solar sensor pockets to enable correct heat control on a solar system.

The Oso Solarcyl is available in three capacities of 210, 250 and 330 litres. The units can be adapted if necessary to contain 250, 300 and 380 litres respectively by the addition of a separate expansion vessel and removal of the hot water dip pipe.

Range Tribune Twin Coil Unvented Cylinders

>Duplex stainless steel for ultimate peace of mind
>Fully transferable 25 year guarantee
>High flow-rate controls - ideal for multiple bathrooms & power showering
>Fast reheat and high insulation values resulting in high efficiency
>A Complete package - just add pipework

Range Twin Coil Tribune Hot Water Cylinders can be used in various ways:

1) To couple two different boilers up to the Tribune
2) For systems with solar heating. Solar heat is fed in via the lower coil.
3) To give very quick reheat times. Plumb both coils up in parallel. Reheat time will be approximately half but boiler power required double

IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is a requirement of building regulations that any such heat source connected to an Unvented cylinder (such as Tribune) be under full thermostatic control and are able to turn themselves COMPLETELY off

As a result you cannot connect an Aga or a solid fuel stove to a Tribune.

Vaillant AuroStor Twin Coil Unvented Cylinders

The Vaillant AuroSTOR is available in 200, 250 and 300 litre volumes and is delivered with a 3kW back up immersion heater as standard.

This twin coil unvented solar cylinder manufactured from stainless steel has a 25 year warranty on the shell. Each cylinder features two sensor pockets for simple straightforward connection of the control sensors and a 22kW rated coil for a rapid heat up.

Insulation exceeds CHeSS best practice and heat loss is as low as 0.08kW/h.
